For sale is an Orvis Madison bamboo rod marked HDG (6). Most prefer Orvis’ rods with one line down from the specified designation. This is an 8’ 0” 2/1 (built this way) 5wt weighing 3 3/4 oz., SN 82718. Rich tempered impregnated cane. In my hand, this rod is full working and feels to be a very pleasant medium action taper. The deep action reminds me of the Flea and Midge, just much stronger. Size 12 ferrule with perfect fit. Some corrosion on the winding check. Cork grip is unsoiled though has some minor ridging.
